Where did you go…..my lovely?

Sometimes in life things happen and we have no clue how.

About two hours earlier today I was loading up some podcasts to my phone (Linux of course), and then left my house.  I walk down the street to the bus stop and then I see the bus pulling up so I run for it.  I manage to catch the bus and then I sit down and all of a sudden something doesn’t feel right.

Now I just knew I had put my phone in my pocket before I left, but I didn’t feel it  so I looked around my seat, no phone.  I decide to get off the bus and go back home (I figured I just left it on the table in my room so no big deal, meanwhile its nagging me that I had my phone in my pocket when I left.

So I walk back home, and I check my room, once again…..no phone.

Now normally  I would have gotten really really upset, but I really wasn’t this time.  After all, I was going to go back to Best Buy and they would send me a new one in the mail since I was smart enough to get the phone with a warranty.

It wasn’t until I got to the store that the woman from customer service let me know that the warranty only covered damage or phone malfunctions not lost or stolen phone.   Needless to say I was pretty blown then, but only for a little while :)

It helps that I had another phone to use, the exact same phone so all I had to do was swap my phone online.   In fact I was doing that while I was working on this post, it really only took a few moments and I was good to go.

Talk about fortunate to have you girl………but I digress, while I was thinking about getting a new phone anyway at least I could do that when I WANT to and not because I HAVE to.

This is another reason I am such an advocate of having a relatively inexpensive phone, that way if something happens to it (which more than likely will eventually happen) you aren’t left out in the cold.

So you don’t have to beg me to stay.  You heard, me so turn me loose!

In case you were wondering, the phone I lost was an LG Optimus V running Android 2.2, and I had unlocked it a couple of weeks ago.

Such a pity!!!!   Hey I am just glad I didn’t have to go through a labyrinth to get where I was trying to go.

But it’s not fair!!!!
