Use Windows 7 machine as a Second Display for a Linux machine

Fedora is my main machine, but I have a Windows machine for, well when I just can't do it on Fedora. Here's how to use the Windows machine as a second display:

  • Install Cygwin/X on the Windows machine
  • Add your Linux machine to your Windows machine's hosts file (see here)
  • Start XWin Server on Windows and add your Linux machine to the X access control list (only do this inside your firewall).
