audacious vs deadbeef - a quick review

Audacious and Deadbeef are two popular lightweight audio players whose similarities make them almost interchangable. On startup, you're presented with the familiar playlist interface.

The main difference here is that audacious can also use Winamp2 skins to look like the old XMMS and, of course, Winamp.

As they really are so similar, this review will just cover a few points where they differ.
