Yeah yeah yeah,  I know the last time I talked about an open drink it wasn’t really open.  But it did have the word Ubuntu on it so I was fooled, but really,  I should care, or maybe I shouldn’t….that is the question.

Excuse my bantering ha ha ha!!

Now where was I?  Oh, Yes.  I was about to talk about an open-source drink called Open Cola.  I think this is a great example of what the term “Open Source“, really means.

For example.   OpenCola is a brand of cola unique in that the instructions for making it are freely available and modifiable. Anybody can make the drink, and anyone can modify and improve on the recipe as long as they, too, license their recipe under the GNU General Public License.

I really like this concept, as it encourages creativity and gets people more involved in what they put into their own body, versus just buying a can of whatever and not really knowing what is in it.

Here’s a challenge to you.  Yes you.

I challenge you to make your own version of Open Cola and I hope you will share it with me.  No not literally, but I mean the recipe, I think this would be awesome to do.

To get you started the recipe can be found here.

Now go, and make the best Cola ever!!!
