You may have no idea what I am talking about, but you will. PB Crisps were introduced in 1992, and lasted several years afterwards.

“P.B. Crisps were a Planters product in the mid 90′s that were absolutely delicious. I remember many days coming home from school and my mom would have my afternoon snack laid out for me so I could quickly grab it and go watch my favorite afternoon toon (probably around this time it would have been Animaniacs).
Yet, like so many great snacks back then, they disappeared quickly and quietly. The Internet is relatively sparce on info dealing with the whole vanishing of these great treats. And on the Wikipedia page for Planters it is listed as discontinued and the reason being, “they were too delicious”. I’m sure someone edited that who was in the same situation as me, wondering directionless in time and space contemplating the sudden disappearance of their most favoritist snack and the only logical reason they came up with was, “Well there is no good reason for them to have taken it off the market other then it being too tasty.” And thus the Wiki was modified.
For the people who passed by these scrumptious oddities (can you tell I’m running out of adjectives to describe these things?), essentially a P.B. Crisp was some kind of cookie, though it’s equal I have never found, shaped like a peanut shell and filled inside with mouth watering creamy peanut butter”.

I know its been a long time but i’m missin you like crazy!!! Whatever happened to the days when I could go to the store and get those delectable morsels?
They were so addictive, its like they were putting crack in them. I have a real taste for them right now and there gone….all gone. It’s just not fair, I find a snack that I enjoy and they take it of the market. Why?
Happily I was able to find info on the Internet and even a Youtube video that shows the commercial and you may very well remember it. Oh and “Peanut butter with a crunch” was the slogan for it as well. I was so surprised that I had remembered the commercial as it had been so long since the last time I heard it. Even a Facebook page has been devoted to them, so I am not the only one that loved them.
Lol! I can’t believe people have even gone as far as to send petitions for Planters to bring PB Crisps back….such a pity!! They are gone forever it seems.
Ok this is going too far, lol!!! Frozen packages available on Ebay!! Really? Thats crazy!!!
Hi I’m only new to blogging and trying to reach out and read some other peoples blogs. Not sure how I came by your one but I enjoyed this post. Don’t remember these but I’m gettin’ ya. I feel the same sometimes thinking of old treats that were so good and then as quick as they arrive they’re gone never to be seen again. I like this post
